Big Bass and Missing Wallet

This morning we headed out early and headed out to the park to do some fishing. The girls and I relaxed and listened to the radio, while the boys did the fishing. When we were getting ready to leave the first park, the girls and I headed to the van, while the boys cast a few more times. Well it ended up being the "big one", because Micah came running and screaming to come quick with the cameras. So the girls and I took off running. We made it just in time to snap a few pics and release the fish. After this we packed up and headed to another park. (Little did I know that while I was running and taking my camera out of my bag, my wallet fell out) We fished at the second park for a while, then headed home to shower and grab some lunch. We were getting ready to head to the store so I was trying to switch my things back into my purse and realized I was missing my wallet. Starting to panic, I took DL and headed to the first park we were at and Phil took Micah and headed to the second fishing spot. I canceled my bank card on the way, when we got to the park we ran to where we were and there sitting in the grass was my wallet. And believe it or not nothing was missing at all!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! After finding the wallet we headed to the store, picked up lunch and then headed home. After lunch we headed to my mom's house to help her put it back together, because she got new carpet. This evening we hung out at home and relaxed.

Freezing in Florida

This post is really only for me, because I never posted it when I should have. In the beginning of January we had spell of very cold weather for us. One night my van actually had ice freeze on my windshield and Phil had to scrape it off for me in the morning!!!!!

Virtual School..Week 1

Our first official week of Virtual school has almost come to an end, and so far so good. Dakota has submitted most of her assignments for the week and is learning to navigate the website. She is enjoying the freedom of being at home and spending extra time with me. We have a little routine down, we go for a walk in the morning and then home to start working. She is usually finishing up, when I leave for work around 2. Report cards for the second quarter are coming out next week so I will let you know how they all did. I am hoping this weekend to get out of the house and do some fishing and photo taking, so stay tuned for a post with pics in the next few days.

Going Virtual

Dakota is now enrolled for Virtual School. She is going to be doing all her school online. We are very excited about this, as she can work at her own pace. There are any opportunities for her to work ahead, they also have bi-monthly activities. She started this week, so we will keep you posted!!!

Sleepover

Dakota had a sleepover on Friday night. The kids all had early release from school, so I took Dakota and a bunch of friends to the mall. 4 of Dakota's friends came over to spend the night. Believe it or not I have no pictures. We had pizza for dinner and then watched a bunch of movies. The girls stayed up till 4:30am!!! I'm to old for that! They had a great itme and can't wait to do it again.

14 Years

On January 13th, Phil and I celebrated our 14th Anniversary. It is truly a blessing to be married to my best friend. It hasn't always been easy, but through it all we are so blessed to have each other. We have also been blessed to have 3 beautiful children. Phil, I look forward to the next 14 years and the wonderful things we will do together!!

Christmas 09

For Christmas this year the kids chose to go to Disney World as their Christmas gift. So the kids knew that Christmas morning there were not going to be gifts under the tree. They knew Santa had sent the money for Disney, but they still had some hope that Santa would drop something off. Well Santa did show up, right before Phil and I went to bed and dropped off not just one gift for each kid but a bunch. The kids were so surprised to wake up and see the gifts under the tree. Dakota received a digital camera, posters, DVDs and a CD, Micah received a huge nerf gun a remote control plane and a ton of bullets, Destiny Lee received a Nintendo DS, a Wii game, 2 Nintendo DS games, a talking baby doll, just to name a few things. Thank you Santa for blessing my kids when they least expected it. And thank you for blessing their parents by your kindness!!!
Grandma Carla came over around noon and brought some more goodies for the kids. They got an air hockey table from Grandma Carla, which they love. Grandma Donna came over shortly after and brought the kids some more goodies. We made seafood gumbo for dinner and it was delicious. It had just about every kind of seafood you could think of. We had an AWESOME Christmas!!
Thank you Lord for sending your son that we may celebrate His birthday!!!!!

Family comes to visit

David and Rachel along with the boys drove from California to spend Christmas in Florida with family. They arrived at Grandma Carla's house on Sunday evening. We spent the whole week going to Grandma Carla's during the day to hang out with them. The kids were especially excited as they haven't seen their cousins in 2 years. Monday we just hung out at home and played. Tuesday we headed to the Science Museum, the kids all had a great time running around and discovering new things. An old friend Daniel (who I used to babysit for) also came along to the museum. I was then off to work and the kids all stayed the night for a sleep over. On Wednesday we went to the park to run off some energy and then had dinner together at mom's. On Thursday, Christmas Eve we headed over around lunch time and enjoyed our last day together. The men took the boys fishing for a while, and then Uncle Phil took the kids to run around outside and play ball. Mom made a huge dinner of Ham, Turkey, fried okra, boiled carrots, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy. (I'm sure there was more but I can't remember what else we had.) It was great to see them and get to spend time with the kids. I took a ton of pictures (about 450). I made a collage to show as many as possible.

Photo Shoot

For Christmas this year Phil got me a photo session with a professional photographer. I have been wanting to do family pictures for a while so I was so excited. He got in touch with an old friend from high school who is now a professional photographer. She took some amazing pictures. I can't post them all but I'll put up some of my favorites.

Meeting the Princesses

Where oh where to begin. In the beginning of December we took the kids to Disney for Christmas. The kids decided to go to Disney instead of waking up to gifts on Christmas morning. We drove up on a Saturday morning, Diana came along with us as well. We checked into the hotel around 9:00am. We stayed at the Nickelodeon hotel, our room was decorated with Fairly Odd Parents. The kids thought it was very cool, the kids also had their own "room" with bunk beds and a TV. We were really only at the hotel to sleep but the kids loved it. After checking in to the hotel, we headed over to Magic Kingdom. It was raining, but we decided to brave it out and get wet. The rain cleared around lunch time. We stayed until about 1am. The kids had a GREAT time, riding just about every ride. Destiny Lee was very brave and went on every roller coaster. We got back to our hotel and crashed for the night. When we got up we headed to Downtown Disney and met up with Travis, Celine and the kids. After visiting with them, we shopped around a little and then headed back home. We all had a fantastic time.
