Santa

On Saturday we headed down to Bass Pro Shops. They have Santa's Workshop there along with photos with Santa. The pics of course came out adorable!! (At least I think so) Saturday evening Phil and I went and listened to Travis play bagpipes with his band. They did a great job and it was fun hanging out with Celine, Jen and Jason.

So much to be Thankful for...

On Thanksgiving we had the Kane's over minus Travis who was on shift. We had a great time hanging out and cooking. Madi slept over and the girls had a blast! The next morning we spent some time at the park and then headed north to be hang out with Travis and Liam while Celine worked.

High Honor Roll

Last week Wednesday was Honor Roll Awards. Micah received straight A's on his report card!! Dakota also made the A average Honor Roll. They all did a GREAT job the first quarter of school!

Better late than never....

I finally got around to posting pics from Halloween on Saturday! The kids went to the mall first to show Grandma Donna their costumes and then headed to see me at work. The looked so cute all dressed up!! after visiting me they headed to Diana's to trick or treat. They of course got a TON of candy. I played around with editing the pictures above and thought I would try a couple different looks.

Pumpkin Carving

Last night we spent the evening carving our pumpkins. The kids did a great job with their ideas. Papa did the cutting to avoid any accidents. Tonight they are trick or treating with Grandma Carla and Diana!! There will be more pictures to follow tomorrow!!!

Pumpkin Patch 09

On Saturday we went to a couple local pumpkin patches to take some photos. Unfortunately it had been raining the night before so things were a little wet and many pumpkins were not doing so well.
We made the best of it and took a couple of pics. The kids also got to pick out a pumpkin each. Destiny Lee has been begging to carve them ever since. Maybe that will be our activity tonight. I think next year we are going to have to travel north to find a "real" pumpkin patch.

Day at the Park

On Friday the kids had a day off of school, so we headed to the park. We packed a nice picnic lunch and spent the day at the park. We played dodge ball, baseball, hide and seek, and also read books. Diana and her grandmother also stopped by for a little while. After being at the park all day we headed home to relax. I didn't take very many pictures because I was busy playing with the kids. So pictures will have to come with the next post.

On Sunday, nice cool temps moved in, so we enjoyed some time outdoors. The kids love this weather as so Phil and I. We had some fun throwing the ball around and climbing on the rock wall.

Last week I went with Lee Lee's class to the Fire Station. We learned about fire safety and Lee Lee got to squirt the big fire hose. She had a great time with her friends!

I know I am very late in posting this but at the beginning of the month was Micah's birthday!! We had a glow in the dark party and a UFO cake complete with aliens. Micah requested my "famous" chicken wings for dinner. The kids had a great time dressing up with all of the glow in the dark necklaces, bracelets, etc. Everyone had a great time. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICAH!!!!!!!

Mid Term Reports

We recently received mid term reports and I am very happy to report straight A students in my house. Dakota is doing great so far and has been working very hard. I am told Micah is in the top of his class with the highest grades. This is the first year Micah actually gets grades and not numbers, and he is doing Awesome. Destiny Lee has received a green ticket everyday for behavior and I'm also told does her work well. Report cards will be out soon!! Great Job guys, Papa and Mama are very proud of you. Keep up the good work!!!

Disney on Ice

It has been a few weeks but I wanted to blog about our girls night out to Disney on Ice Princesses!! We had a great time with the Weber's. Destiny Lee was in awe the whole time and kept asking are these the real princesses? Her favorite was Ariel and Belle. Dakota enjoyed it as well. It was a nice night out with great friends and my girls!!

Meteorologist???

Micah loves weather. He is always checking the weather before school, loves to check if we are expecting a thunderstorm. Last week when we were having a nice storm come through Micah went on the balcony and was charting the weather. He came back inside and gave his prediction about what we should expect.

First Day of School '09

Today was the first day of school. The kids were excited to see all their friends and find out who were in their classes. Destiny Lee started Kindergarten, Micah is in 3rd, and Dakota is in 7th. Amazing how time flies. I'll update later with how the day went.
