Snowing in Florida

Okay so we all know it doesn't snow in Florida. So we have to do the next best thing, pretend. We got to play in the "snow", throw snowballs, and make snow angels, the only thing we couldn't do was make a snowman. We also enjoyed hot chocolate and powdered donuts. I have to say though this was one of the colder days we've had yet. We also took some pictures on a pony! The kids loved the pony!! Enjoy the pics.

Best Buds

It took me a little longer than I wanted but I am finally posting from Sunday! We enjoyed a fun day at the park with some of our best friends. The kids enjoyed fun on the playground and in the science museum. Dakota saw what she would look like as a midget and DL saw what she would look like with a cone head. It was actually pretty funny!

11th Anniversary

Today Phil and I celebrated our 11th Anniversary. It seems like just yesterday we got married. We enjoyed a very delicious seafood dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant and the next morning had a great time in the everglades. I saw an otter on the waters edge, to fast for a picture but that was really cool! We then proceeded to the Gun and Knife show to pick up his anniversary gift. A new knife. Then off to pick up the kiddies at grandmas. Helped grandma set up her computer. We enjoyed our day and can't wait for what the next 11 years have to offer.

Trip to the Zoo

On Thursday we took a trip to the zoo. It was the perfect time of year to go, not to hot and there was a nice breeze. It took all day to walk through the whole zoo, not sure if it was really worth the time. I could have skipped half the animals. The most fun of the day was feeding the giraffes. That was so fun to watch the kids. We also learned some interesting facts about poop. There was a special exhibit called The Scoop on Poop. In ten hours an elephant will poop how much I weigh(which I am not disclosing). The things you learn at the zoo.

Photography Contest

I have told some of you that I am planning to enter an amatuer photography contest. The requirements are the pictures have to be taken in the Loxahatchee Everglades park. So Saturday when we went to the park I took a ton of pictures of this and that. Above are some that I am considering to submit in the contest. Maker of Swords

To begin I just wanted to let everyone know why I named the blog Maker of Swords. Our last name means Maker of Swords or Sword maker. There is also a city in Spain called Bilbao where our family comes from. So I thought Maker of Swords would be an appropriate name for our blog.

First Post

OK! So this is my first post trying to figure out exactly how this works. Don't Laugh!! Anyway, as soon as I see if this works my blog will hopefully come to life.
