First Day of School '09

Today was the first day of school. The kids were excited to see all their friends and find out who were in their classes. Destiny Lee started Kindergarten, Micah is in 3rd, and Dakota is in 7th. Amazing how time flies. I'll update later with how the day went.

Park Adventure

This morning we headed to the park early to try to avoid some heat. We took a mile or so walk and then headed back to the house. After breakfast we headed back to another park. We saw a ton of butterflies and a little finch. We explored the park and the boardwalk. We are now home and recovering from the heat. The top pictures are from the first park and the bottom are from the second.

Today we spent the day at Birch State Park. We found a nice shady picnic table to set up camp. We fished for a while and caught some puffers, a rock fish and a nice size grunt. After fishing we headed to a trail, saw an old railroad, and a ton of spiders. The kids found a tree to swing from and then it was time to head home after being in the heat all day!!
Forgot to mention the best thing of all....We saw a manatee today swimming by!!!

Water Park

On Thursday we went to the water park for a final summer bash. Diana joined us for the fun.
We all really enjoyed the lazy river.
Destiny Lee even got to join us on the water slides as well. Everyone had a really great time.

Destiny Lee's New Do

Today was Destiny Lee's turn to get a haircut. She got it layered a little bit and her bangs are now choppy. She looks so grown up and now you can see pretty face.

Dakota's New Do

Today Dakota got her haircut. She wanted to do something a little different. So she chopped off around 9 inches and got a few highlights. She loves it!! It makes her look a bit older. :(

Destiny Lee imitates Papa

Destiny Lee decided to dress up the other day and imitate Papa. She put on his glasses, hat, keys, wallet, and had his cup. She also made his angry face to top it all off!!

Breakfast at Grandma's

Last week the girls spent the night at Grandma's house. They invited us over for breakfast on Saturday morning. We received excellent service when we arrived. We were seated right away, given menus (see below), and served drinks. On the menu was pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and fruit. Thank you so much for the delicious breakfast!!
