Fun Start to the Summer

Last week Micah and Destiny Lee attended Vacation Bible School and had a GREAT time. They attended everyday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. They were taught about following in God's footsteps and learned lots of new Bible verses. On Friday, they even received silly bands that tell the story of Jesus!
On Monday. of this week we headed to the pool with Destiny Lee's kindergarten teacher and her adorable twins. After spending the morning there, we headed to the library and signed up for their reading program.
Today we headed to the pool again with some great friends, Aleida and her girls. The moms layed out in the sun while the kids swam. Then we all had lunch by the pool. Tomorrow we are heading to the movies with a big group of friends as well. We are going to watch The Tale of Despereaux! So far we have had a great summer! Sorry I didn't bring my camera to any of our events this week, but will definitely bring it next week!

On Wednesday before school let out, I was able to spend the days with the kids at school. Micah had a class picnic and Destiny Lee had a pajama party. The kids had a great time playing games and watching movies.

Kindergarten Recognition

On Friday June 4th, Destiny Lee had a graduation ceremony at school. She is officially a first grader. Each class sang a song and showed off some of what they have learned. She did a great job and is very excited about being a first grader now.
