This morning we headed to a nearby park to play some ball, and play on the playground. The boys tossed the ball, we took turns batting, and Destiny Lee spent most the time on the jungle gym. Papa and DL found a baby frog. While I was sitting there and watching a bird find his lunch I noticed there were some dragonflies all around. The cool things about the dragonflies was one was bright purple, one was orange, and the other black and white. We are now home relaxing. Until our next adventure!!

The peacock bass that got away!!!

This morning on our way to the park, the boys tried to catch a peacock bass. Micah hooked it and started to reel it in and right at the shore line it jumped and got off the hook. At least I was able to get a picture. They are going to try and go back out again this evening and see if they can land it.

Intercoastal Fishing

Fishing Diva!!

Last Thursday we headed to the intercoastal to do some fishing. We got a late start due to a doctor appt but we got to the park around 12:30. Grandma Carla met us there and we had a picnic lunch and then went fishing. We caught a couple grunts, puffers, rock fish and a jack. While we were fishing the jacks came in and were chasing something or being chased but there were hundreds of jacks jumping everywhere. Phil was able to reel one in but I didn't get a picture because I was trying to catch one myself. We also saw a shark in the intercoastal as well. Even though we didn't catch anything we could keep we all had a great time.

Sleepover with Sam

Samantha came to visit last Sunday night and we had a sleepover. The kids enjoyed hanging out. In the morning after a delicious breakfast of pancakes, we headed out to the park before it got to hot. We went to the rock climbing park and played some more dodge ball. If I remember correctly Dakota and Papa each won a game. By the time they were done with two games everyone was ready to head inside to the a/c.

Food Networks Next Star

Destiny Lee decided to make a salad for us for dinner. She made it all by herself. She put the lettuce and celery in the bowl and then added salad dressing. She mixed it all up and then covered it with aluminum foil put it in the fridge till dinner was ready. She loves to cook and bake anything. I forgot to take a picture of the final product but I can tell you it was delicious!!!!

Dodge Ball

Well I'm a little behind on my blogging, so I'm going to try and do some catching up. Last week we played some dodge ball outside. The kids had a great time, running around and of course hitting each other.

FUN WEEKEND!!!!

I'm a little behind on my blogging but I wanted to post a few pictures of the last couple of days. Your probably saying it's in the middle of the week why is she saying weekend. Since I don't have off on the traditional weekend of Saturday and Sunday, it was my weekend on Tuesday and Wednesday when we had all our fun!! On Tuesday, we headed to the dollar store and picked up a bat and some wiffle balls and some dodge balls. We headed to the park and played wiffle ball and dodge ball. We all had a really fun time, besides the heat. After the park we headed to the craft store and picked up some $1 crafts for the kids. They all chose some type of painting craft. (those pics will be posted later) And believe it or not I forgot the camera when we played games at the park. :(
On Wednesday we met Celine and Madi at the beach. It was beautiful when we got there. Shortly a storm was rolling across the sky and it looked like it would be a quick shower until it came to shore and was a downpour. We grabbed our cameras and a couple towels and ran for it!! We found some shelter under a pavilion and hung out while it poured for about 15 min. When we returned to the beach, it was beautiful. The kids had a great time, most of the day was spent shell hunting and we found a ton of beautiful shells!!! The pictures are courtesy of Celine! Thanks Celine!!!

Another year older!!

Yesterday was my birthday and Phil and the kids threw me a little party. They decorated the house Hawaiian before I woke up. Celine and the kids came over to hang out. Dakota and Micah baked me my birthday cake. We all had a blast hanging out and playing some games. We played pin the jellyfish on Spongebob and silly string Lisa. Dakota and Micah also decided to smash my face with cake. Here are a few pics from the day.

Pool and Fishing with Friends

Yesterday we spent the morning at the pool. We all had a great time! Above you will see the kids did some stunts for me to take pictures of. Sam and Nancy came over and met us at the pool for a while and then we all came back to the house and chilled out. The kids played great all afternoon. In the evening we went out for some fishing, Micah hooked another armored cat, and all the kids helped get it to shore.

This morning we headed out to the pool nice and early and upon arrival, discovered a very dirty pool and mosquito's. So we headed back inside. We decided that we would go fishing. Micah hooked a armored cat and brought it to shore with no assistance. Phil hooked a snakehead and let Micah reel it in. Micah tried to pick it up for a picture but it got away!! However I was able to get a picture of it jumping out of his hands.

Happy 4th of July

On Thursday we had a mini 4th of July celebration, since I have to work tonight. Dakota made brownies, Micah and Destiny Lee made red and blue jello. We lit some sparklers and enjoyed just hanging out as a family. Yesterday Dakota went to Grandma Carla's to spend the night and have a girls night. They went and was the movie UP and I'm not sure on the rest of the details. This morning we went to the park to run around before it got to HOT. Micah was doing "tricks" jumping off the rock walls. Hope everyone has a Fabulous Forth of July. Let's keep our men who are fighting in our prayers, not just today but everyday!!!
