Full of Hot Air

Great Day with Great Friends!!

Started out our day trying to get 3 year old pics done of DL and her best friend Madison. The experience was awful. The photographers had no clue what to do with the two of them. The girls were tired of trying different poses and finally told us point blank they were finished and didn't want to take any more pictures.
We enjoyed the rest our day watching the Yankee/Boston game and playing apples to apples. If you have never heard of /or played apples to apples you have to get a group of friends together and try it out. It is a great, fun game to play that doesn't drag on like Monopoly. Check back for funny video of DL, having upload issues.

Another Great Day at the Beach!!!!

We had a great time yesterday with our friends at the beach. We got to the beach about 10am and the sign said rip currents and man-of-war. We lathered everyone down with suntan lotion and turned them loose. Dakota was hesitant about going in the water because it was a little rough. After a little while she ventured into the water to come out crying that she was stinging on her back. We made our way to the lifeguard tower who sprayed her down with vinegar spray. But Dakota insisted on going back into the water for more. SO of course a little while later her under arm was stinging from yet another bite. The lifeguard told her she was tough so she thought that was cool. Micah and DL played in the sand and a little bit at the waters edge. Dakota just couldn't get enough of the water. At the end of the day the kids decided to dig in sea weed. As soon as we saw this we said get out of there, that is dirty and would have man-of-war in it. But we were to late, guess who got stung again. That's right Dakota!!!! This time it was on her pinky. It was the worse bite yet. We packed it up and left and headed back to Celine's house for dinner. We enjoyed the time we spent with our good friends.

We had a very Happy Easter. We enjoyed the day with family and great friends. We started out the day with an Easter Egg hunt at the park, Travis met us there with the medic truck. We flew Madi's new kite and hunted eggs. Then Travis had to leave to go on a call. The kids enjoyed watching them suit up and rush out in the truck with the lights on. We then headed home and devoured our Easter dinner which consisted of ham, green bean casserole, yams and marshmallows, asparagus, macaroni and cheese, garlic croissants, and stuffing. We then headed to the park in the complex for another Easter egg hunt and back home again for dessert. We had a great day!!!

Picnic at the Park

Today we had a really fun day! We met up with Celine and Madi and went to Celine's work picnic at the park. The kids enjoyed a bounce house, obstacle course, rock wall, egg hunt, and face painting. The pictures show you all of the activities that we enjoyed. After the picnic we headed back to Celine's house and had a water balloon fight. The little ones weren't sure they liked to get hit with the balloons and get wet, but they enjoyed throwing them and getting everyone else wet. Celine, Phil and I then made birthday party plans for the big party in May!!! We have a lot more activities planned for tomorrow!

First Family Camping Trip

We returned today from our very first family camping trip. We headed up to Jupiter Saturday morning and set up camp at Camp Pinewood. We then ventured out to walk on a nature trail. We walked and saw Kitchen Creek which was beautiful then headed back to camp to grill some hamburgers for dinner. We just hung around camp, Micah was intrigued by carving wood, while DL found trouble turning on the water spicket and Dakota chilled out listening to music and pushing DL around in the wagon. We headed into the tent around 8:30pm to end the day. I can tell you we did learn one thing during this trip, we need a bigger tent. Phil and I could barely move to wake up this morning. We got up around 7:00am and headed back home. We had a really great time and can't wait to go camping again in the fall.
