Fire Extravaganza

It has been a couple of weeks since I have posted anything. I have been busy with the kids and homework at night and studying for my job. I am now answering the phones, including 911's.
I love the job I just can't wait till I know how to do everything.

Today we went to a Fire Prevention Extravaganza. The kids got to see fire trucks, rescue trucks, and got to use the fire hose. They had a lot of fun, it was just very HOT!!!! Enjoy the slideshow.

Snail Mating

Ok, so this post is a little strange but photo nanny saw an opportunity and took it. I was out walking my dogs when I came across something I've never seen with my own eyes. Maybe I've seen it on video but I caught it in action. Snails mating, and I thought this is a once in a life time opportunity to take photos of this. So below is a picture of what I saw. I love taking pictures of all kinds, even though this seems a little strange. And for those who are wondering what photo nanny is, that is my nickname. I take my camera with me everywhere!!! It pretty much doesn't matter what is happening, no matter the occasion I have my camera!!

Work and Weekend Events

Well we have had a very uneventful weekend. We relaxed on Saturday and today we went and helped our best buds paint their new house. The kids played in the closets and on the new patio.

Last week at work I got to ride with a police officer for a day. We went to traffic court, conducted an investigation, and pulled some people over. It was very interesting, I definately learned some things. He let me talk on the radio for the first time but I was way to nerveous. He gave me some good tips, he says I need to practice talking to myself. {Yea that's what I want to do.} This coming week I start answering the phones, so I'll let you know how that goes. Soon I get to ride with the fire department that should be fun too.
