Happy Veterans Day to all who have served!!!! Happy Veterans Day PAPA, we love you and thank you for serving our country! Today is an extra special day for our family, because we have a veteran that lives with us everyday!!! Unfortunately, Phil(Papa) had to work today. This morning I took Dakota and Micah to a Veterans Day Parade. Micah and I rode our bikes and Dakota roller bladed. Despite Dakota falling about 7 times, no kidding, we finally made it. If I could of video taped her falls we could have been on America's Funniest Videos. Anyway after the parade we headed to Aleida's house. We had some delicious hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch. The kids went swimming in the pool, the water was freezing!! Aleida also had a small "lake" behind her house and Micah fished most of the afternoon! He caught one bass and lost about 6!! Grandma Carla helped Micah when he got his pole stuck in the middle of the lake and managed to pull a plastic duck from the bottom of the lake!! After a nice dessert of vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries and blueberries we headed to a near by park. The kids enjoyed the jungle gym and swings. We headed out as it looked like it might start to rain, and sure enough about a block before Aleida's house it started to downpour. The kids started running and screaming. We all made it back just in enough time for it to stop and everybody to be nice and wet!!!!!
